TL;DR- Dr. Velumani is the CMD of Thyrocare, a publicly listed chain of diagnostic and preventive care laboratories based out of India. In this interview with Harish Mehta, he explains the importance of a business model, without the right business model it is not easy to scale up! A good model crafts win-win for all stakeholders because in order to go far, we have to go together. And also the importance of creating processes, SOPs, and good systems which go a long way in scaling up a business.

What to do when your competitor gets funded?

TL;DR- Competition is vital for the growth and success of any endeavor. Put simply, competition helps fuel the growth! But when a competitor gets funded, it sure does make founders think and pause. My experience with burnout as a startup founder

TL;DR- This is a good one! Joel Gascoigne, the founder of Buffer shares his experience with burnout. He explains the build-up to the burnout caused due to differences with his co-founder, financial issues, and layoffs at the company; And how he tried to carry himself through it. But eventually had no motivation left and was struggling. He shares how he took a break or a sabbatical of sorts to recharge his batteries, went to therapy, and how he recovered. Burnouts can happen to anyone folks! Do read this and learn from the experience of someone else rather than going through the same thing yourself!
